Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Holiday season is upon us once again, a time to reflect and be thankful for all our family and friends.  2015 has been a year of ups and downs for our economy, our country and our brave soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq.

So many of us forget our troops efforts and the reason we were over there fighting in the first place. If you ask my son he would say "all we want is the support of the American people and for them to remember we are over here to defend their freedom. Hopefully people will never forget the attacks levied against our home land and the innocent people that died on 9 - 11 and those brave hero's on flight 93.  I didn't have to fight for my county but I choose too along with many others because we believe in America and everything our great country stands for!"

I've shared this not because I believe our troops don't receive support from those that truly understand their sacrifice but because of the inspiration it provides each of us going into the New Year.  With continued efforts from all, innovation and sound decision making within our political bureaucracy our country will remain great and 2015 will be a better year for all!

So are we are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. Our troops have come home from Iraq to be with their loved ones except for the recent advisors that have been sent back over and my son will be returning from Afghanistan in late January if everything goes as planned.  Though the economy still has a ways to go and many families are still struggling, we all can have faith and hope that 2015 will be better year and thing will continue to improve.
